Single Coil
A Single Coil setup refers to a type of atomizer (RDA, RTA, or sub-ohm tank) that uses just one coil to heat the e-liquid and produce vapor. These setups are designed for vapers who prefer a customizable and more advanced vaping experience.
Coil Setup: A single coil configuration consists of one coil inside the atomizer or tank that is responsible for heating the e-liquid. These coils are typically low-resistance (sub-ohm) and can be made from different materials such as kanthal, stainless steel, or nichrome.
Vapor Production: Single coil setups generally produce larger clouds of vapor. The reason for this is that they can handle higher wattages compared to pod systems, allowing for more vapor to be produced when you take a puff. This is ideal for vapers who enjoy cloud chasing and want to produce a lot of vapor.
Flavor: Because of the larger airflow and higher power, single coil setups tend to offer more intense flavor than pod systems. The larger coil and customizable airflow allow for better vaporization of e-liquid, leading to a richer taste experience.
Pod System
A Pod System is a more compact and user-friendly type of vaping device. It uses small, disposable or refillable pods (cartridges) that contain the coil and e-liquid. These devices are often nicotine salt-compatible, providing a smoother throat hit at higher nicotine levels.
Coil Setup: Pod systems usually feature a built-in coil inside the pod. These coils are typically higher resistance (over 1 ohm), meaning they use less power to heat the e-liquid. The coil is often pre-installed or replaceable, but there’s generally less customization compared to single coil systems.
Vapor Production: Pod systems are designed to produce smaller vapor clouds. Because they work with lower power and resistance, they aren’t intended for big clouds. They are more for stealth vaping or for those who want a smoother, more discreet vape.
